Procurement Function Transformation —

successfully transformed eight procurement functions for major international financial institutions by reducing headcount and improving performance (budget, delivery, operational controls, group morale, and reputation).

Procure to Pay —

developed and implemented an industry-changing P2P (Procure to Pay) solution at Deutsche Bank with value creation of over a billion dollars.

Center of Procurement Excellence (CoPE) —

defined the first-ever solution designed to reduce procurement related expenses by 40% and generate referral revenue for procurement teams on an on-going basis to make the function cost neutral.

Vendor Management —

Developed an active approach to managing vendors providing goods and services onshore as well as offshore. Using this approach, negotiated over $100 million dollars of savings on a run rate basis within 90 days in the contingent labor spend category, without launching expensive and invasive sourcing initiatives or incumbent vendor service/quality disruptions.

Outsourcing —

Deep subject matter expertise in outsourcing, having been on both sides of the aisle, selling and buying. A profound understanding of deal dynamics from a pricing point of view, and successfully implemented outsourcing initiatives within multiple financial institutions.

Expense Management —

supported and led various expense reduction efforts within many financial institutions, leading to over 3 billion dollars of savings over several years.

Prior to becoming VP Procurement Services and Co-Founder at Elevate Services Inc., Mr. Hassan was the Chief Procurement Officer and Head of Procurement Solutions at Integreon. Founder of The Buying Triangle LLC, a provider of innovative procurement solutions to help procurement organizations identify and capture large savings, enhance control and achieve spend transparency. Before that, Tariq was the Global Chief Procurement Officer of JPMorgan Chase (New York), Global Head of Purchasing for Deutsche Bank (Frankfurt, Germany), Managing Director of Global Procurement at FleetBoston Financial (Boston, Massachusetts), Director of Administrative Services at Bank Boston (Buenos Aires, Argentina), and Director of Strategic Sourcing at Bank Boston for Argentina, Brazil and Chile.
